Is Tumescent Liposuction A Safe Surgery?

The tumescent liposuction can be further classified into wet technique and super wet technique. In the wet technique, the surgeon injects around 100 ml of local anesthesia and epinephrine solution into the tissues. The wet liposuction is advantageous as it results in less blood loss. The super wet technique uses a fluid that contains less anesthesia, lidocaine and epinephrine. In addition, an intravenous sedation solution is used. This surgery procedure takes around two hours to complete. Also in this procedure, the surgeon does not have to wait for any swelling to go down.

Tumescent liposuction can be effectively carried out on the arms, the back, the abdomen, calves, knees and thighs. The patient opting for this surgery has to be in good physical health.
